Lately, my iPod, George, has been acting somewhat...odd. I am a little worried about him. I recently had to "restore" him, which was rather horrifying, as this meant I had to refill him. Casey kept saying, "It's like a clean slate! A brand new start!" No. It's the chance for me to somehow not put some tres important song back on George. It's the chance for potential disaster as I'm driving down the road in desperate need of hearing "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses" only to discover that I don't have that song!
This is, of course, what happened. Only it wasn't a U2 song. It was "Beautiful" by Under the Influence of Giants.
But wait, my story gets better. So I'm all upset and I make a mental note to add "Beautiful" next time I hook up George. Wonder of wonders, I remember to do this. I'm driving home and go to listen to the song AND IT IS NOT THERE. Hello please? So I hook George up again and the song is totally on my iPod, it just doesn't show up when you go the artist listing. It does show up in the "Song" listing. Someone feel free to explain that. But if you do, please type slowly and talk to me as if I was three. Because that's how smart I am when it comes to my iPod. It's a miracle I haven't broken him yet. It's not that I don't love my things (especially George) but I always either lose or break expensive things. The chance of this happening seems to increase exponentially by how expensive it is and if it was given to me as a gift. If I ever get married we're probably going to have to staple the ring to my finger. Or else get one out of a gumball machine.
