WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Silence Means I'm Sick

Posted about 1 year ago

I sing in my car.

I don't even try to deny it. Many, MANY people have caught me doing this and after all these years, I no longer feel shame. I readily admit, yes, you saw me and no, I didn't see you and yes, it was because I was ROCKING MY FACE OFF to something awesome and you just WISH you had been riding in my car with me. I love it. It is perhaps my favorite activity. The only time I ever had a long commute (read: 40 minutes), I really didn't mind it at all because it mean 40 minutes of music and singing (and possibly some car dancing).

This morning however, was a different story. I was riding along on my way to get my Chicken Biscuit when I suddenly realized I wasn't singing. Now, at first I thought, well it's because this is a new tune and I don't know the words yet. NOPE. I had been mouthing the words, I just wasn't singing. Evidently my body has accepted what I have been in denial about all week: MY THROAT HURTS.

I think my body also realized my current frog voice would not have blended well with Miss Elisa here. This is a tune I picked up thanks to another guilty pleasure: So You Think You Can Dance. Yes, I watch. This is the first time I have ever really LOVED some of the contestants. (Katee and Joshua are INCREDIBLE.) This is the song Courtney danced her solo to this week. I feel the need to point out that Chelsie, the girl who got the boot this week and who I think is a VERY strong dancer, danced her solo to a Pussycat Dolls song. I'm not saying anything monkeys......I'm just saying.

    aw feel better!

I also love to sing (and/or rock my face off) in the car and secretly watch SYTYCD.  I agree with you about Katee and Joshua...I think Katee might take it.  Thanks for posting this song :)
