and song...It's been a while since I heard or seen this one. Sleep easy friends. Can I get your hand to write onJust a piece of lead to bite onWhat am I to fly my kite onDo you want to flash your light onTake a look its on display - for youComing down no not todayDid you meet your fortune tellerGet it off with no propellorDo it up its always stellarWhat a way to finally smell herPick it up its not to strong - for youTake a piece and pass it onFly away on my zephyrI feel it more then everAnd in this perfect weatherWell find a place togetherFly on my wingRiddlin on liberatorFind a way to be a skaterRev it up to levitatorSuper mainly aviatorTake a look its on display - for youComing down no not todayFly away on my zephyrI feel it more then everAnd in this perfect weatherWell find a place togetherIn the water where the scent of my emotionAll the world will pass me byFly away on my zephyrWell find a place together... Fly away on my zephyrI feel it more then everAnd in this perfect weatherWell find a place togetherIn the water where the scent of my emotionAll the world will pass me byFly away on my zephyrWere gonna live foreverForever

  1. Lrodrigo370 says I'd have to agree, not only is this song fresh (along with lyrics and what not) so is this video. The Red Hot Chili Peppers are by far, one of the best bands alive. Nice pick for a TUESDAY. =D

  2. HelenMarie says Hey Lrodrigo ~ (you're quick) Indeed a great band lyrically and such, glad you liked the pick. Thanks for stopping by.

  4. FastRMacR says zephyr |ˈzefər| noun 1 poetic/literary a soft gentle breeze. ORIGIN late Old English zefferus, denoting a personification of the west wind, via Latin from Greek zephuros ‘(god of) the west wind.’ Very fitting for these times - thank you much.

  6. Lizziegreeneyes says love this one... By the Way is an album I sat in the dark with my Mum & listened to it over & over again... we fell instantly in love with it (specially the first 3/4)

  8. Lizziegreeneyes says that itty bitty guitar solo rips me to shreads every time - just so perfect.

  9. HelenMarie says Back at you Marigold FastR ~ Thanks for adding that definition...that's one of their more "gentle" & comforting chili pepper songs, thought it'd be a good one to share. Meko ~ Thanks for comment! ; ) Greeneyedgirl ~ I actually just got By the Way (from a friends library). I knew a good amount of the songs but I'm one that feels you gotta have the whole album (with most artist's at least) I'm jealous you and Mama got into it together, very cool of her. I might be able to that with Kool & the Gang and my Ma, haha. Mr. Flux ~ Kaleidoscopically mesmerizing, right...

  10. HelenMarie says You know Lizzie...they really do get it just about perfect in quite a few songs...I was so into One Hot Minute when that first came out and I read all the lyrics, that's when I *really* gained a lot of respect for those guys.

  14. Lizziegreeneyes says *SunnyD:* Kool & the Gang - now that's something we all could sink our ears into ;) Yep... Mommablueeyes is way cool when it comes to new music - sista is open to all the albums I give to her for her to check out, & 9 outta 10 times she loves them. One Hot Minute is the one I don't have... but there are some gems on it no doubt !!!

  15. soulrocket says this track is new to me, i stopped listening to the peppers in the early 90s. pretty cool, a lot more pop oriented that what i was used to listen from them.

  16. Lizziegreeneyes says *soulrocket:* yeah - after BSSM (and even that one is a shift from Mother's Milk...) they became more accessable to a wider audience with a popier sound - but they still consistently put out great albums... By The Way, Californication & Stadium Arcadium - all great albums with some really stunners...
    Permalink posted 10/24/2007
  17. soulrocket says i was strictly into dance music back then, lizzy.. and i never gave those albums a chance.

  18. Lizziegreeneyes says *sr:* I was so into everything - early 90s though I still kept to the wavers & dance & grunge & some top 40... I'll let it slide ;) Once I get things back up and running with my online library (corrupted external hard drive - thought I lost 14,000+ songs) - I will try to get my hands on Blood Sugar Sex Magik, Californication (still haven't uploaded those to the library - but they should be at home in one of the many boxes of _"still to be uploaded"_ CDs. I know I have By the Way & Stadium on there & will get those up as well ;)

  26. HelenMarie says Hey there endearingly *Anna*...hope you were able to enjoy the other Red Hot vids too, their lyrics are _really_ some to be absorbed. I'm sure you have many offers, but if you ever need someone to talk to...I'm a very good sounding board from what my buddies say. Keep smilin dear.

  27. Anna says Aww thank you so much. How sweet of you! I'll keep it in mind, though I usually shut down and deal with my demons alone (it's scarier that way, I know). That's why I was MIA for a while. But thank you, it means a lot to me! :*

  28. Girlcrawl says Always thought the metaphorical lyrics to 'The Zephyr Song' were quite cool - a fabulous listen and groovy visual treat. Thanks for posting; enjoyed. Wiki says zephyr can refer to any of the following: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zephyr

  30. ketut says Not really a Chilies fan but I did stand behind Anthony at a Hoodoo Gurus concert once, He's relly short, like Prince short.
    Permalink posted 11/07/2007
  31. HelenMarie says I got the impression he was short, but didn't know how short and Prince short is definitely *too* short. But he's certainly talented regardless of his size. Thanks for stoppin' by.
