Still Recovering - 6/12/07 - Black Light Burns concert
-
Artist:
So last night myself and some friends went to the Black Light Burns Concert here in NYC at the Gramercy Theater.
The best part (at least for me) of going to a live show is discovering some new music because of the opening acts.
The first band of the night was The Rivalry. These guys were really good. I truly recommend checking the out:

Next up was Julien K. If you didn't know that keyboards could hack it in a rock band, these guys will change your mind.http://www.myspace.com/julienk
Plus, they have some nifty guitars:
The third band was Horse The Band. Words cannot express what went on when these guys hit the stage. With a mix of stuffed animals, drunk keyboardist, funny frontman, and a crazy set of loyal fans this band was really one of a kind:http://www.myspace.com/horsetheband
Nothing says Thrash metal like stuffed animals and fake trees on stage.

The fans of Horse The Band
Finally Black Light Burns (http://www.blacklightburns.com/) took the stage
Wes Borland has put together a great band that grabbed the crowd from the first song all the way to the last. After the show was over, Wes jumped off stage and talked, signed autographs, and took pictures with everyone who wanted one.

All in all it was a great night of good live music for the price of only $15. The ringing in my ears that I will have for the next two days was well worth it.
