Edwyn Collins' Management Criticize Myspace/Warners

Remember this moment of magnificent pop from 1994?

Well oddly, yours truly can happily stream the song and video on this insignificant little blog page, whilst Edwyn Collins, the man who wrote the song and owns the copyright to it cannot share it on his own Myspace page. Apparently Warners Music are claiming ownership of the song.

In an interview in today's Guardian (10/6), Edwyn's wife and manager Grace Maxwell said "[We are] aware of who the biggest bootleggers are,It's not the filesharers."

She alleges that the song is being sold illegally, "Not by Edwyn, [but] by all sorts of respectable major labels whose licence to sell it ran out years ago and who do not account to him."
