Some Faust for a Monday night.

For no other reason that I love Faust, love this album, and love this song. This is from 1999's Ravvivando, an exercise in atonal, industrial mayhem. "T-Electronique" shows a nod to the driving sound of fellow German pioneers Neu! and the straight-ahead pulsating beat they helped to shape in the early 70s.

YEEEEEEA! *too much to comprehend* *falls silent and just nods head*
Well, as much as I love Faust, they are one of those groups that I can totally see why others don't. All I can say is thanks for giving it a try. :-)
This is some great atmospheric music... I could see this as being a good driving tune.
no no, i think I enjoyed it, but i'm not much more articulate beyond that! :)
Oh . . .I misunderstood then! (Still, sadly, you're post wasn't my cup of tea). I think Faust is in part about expressing things that can't be said in words, or that don't have words to say, so being inarticulate is okay.
Daniel, I find a lot of Faust to be great for the car. Ravvivando is one of my favorite driving records. Not everything has this exact drive to it, but the whole album has a pulse about it.
Hi Groon
hey rummy. Thanks for stopping by!
1999, and yet so Umma Gumma'ish. Was LSD still gong around in 1999?
I'm not sure if I have this one or not. I don't listen to Faust too regularily but once in a while I quite like experimental stuff that is a bit more complex than "your usual electronic music". If you're into such things, I guess I could get you a signed copy of an album of your choice at the next Klangbad festival in the late summer. (Signed by Joachim, not sure which of the other guys will be around then - or if I would even recognize them.)
Hermes, if I may first say YES! That would be awesome. I'll send whatever funds would help to make it happen, shipping, etc . . . just let me know when that time comes around. I guess if I had to pick an album it would be probably Faust IV, although as I said above Ravvivando is one of my personal faves.
I go through Faust phases. I feel one coming on, though, as a cause or effect of this little post, I'm not sure.
