Geriatric they may be now, but Yes is gearing up for their 40th anniversary tour. The line up consists of original members Jon Anderson and Chris Squire, long-time members Steve Howe and Alan White, and newcomer Oliver Wakemen to the keys, son of none other than Rick Wakemen himself. (By the way, this change in the keyboardist is something like the 11th or 12th such keyboarding change the band has gone through in its life. No other band that I know of has changed its lineup so often, and it's happened for almost every instrument many times. In fact, Chris Squire the bassist is the ONLY member to have played on every album!)I've seen Yes live quite a few times and it's always a good show, especially since they decide to go back and start playing more of their longer, more progressive pieces live. I will definitely be there at some point!Sat 07/12/08 Quebec City, QC Quebec City Festival Sun 07/13/08 Toronto, ON The Molson Amphitheatre Tue 07/15/08 Columbus, OH Nationwide Arena Wed 07/16/08 Hershey, PA Hersheypark Stadium Fri 07/18/08 Chicago, IL Charter One Pav. @ Northerly Isl. 6. Hermes says I don't know YES, but I hope I will never to be too old to rock. And I don't have a feeling of inadequacy, if people who participated in or formed bands at a time, where I even haven't been born yet, still make concerts. In the case of Faust, I can only say, that they still impress me as relative youngster, though their fans usually are one to three decades older than I am.

  7. Groon says Mmmmm . . . to see Faust live . . . is that still a possibility? Are any of the members still touring together? I would pay good money to see that. Not sure if Yes would be your thing (just judging on the little bit I know about you from MOG) but it never hurts to check it out! hint hint hint Todd--I forget where you live, but I seem to recall you're not anywhere close to me in SC. If you are, though, we should think about a meetup!

  8. Hermes says From time to time Faust are still making concerts, but in the last years primariy in Europe. I don't think that they do it on a regular basis and more by occasion as they live by now live quite far away from each other. Parts of them can be seen from time to time on the Klangbad festival, where I use to participate. You can see therer current activities on the "> faust pages":http://www.faust-pages.com/. There are a few concerts this and during the next months, but none of them in the U.S.. I'll give yes a try, if I find something ;).
