PAN FOR GOLD. WE'VE GOT ORE GALORE.

Time to go down the Rabbit Hole

Posted 3 months ago

This song was on Warehouse 13 tonight, and although I'm not a big Jefferson Airplane, I have fond thoughts, memories and feelings for this song. So, I figured I'd share.

Grace was my teen dream pinup - what a looker! I still listen to the Airplane; so many live tapes are around and Jorma and Jack are stunning.

I remember being introduced to altered states music by a pot-smoking upper classman (who also took harder drugs from time to time). I've considered adding "Surrealistic Pillow" to the CD cellection over the years, but "I never did inhale" though I was around weed smokers. As I told "jimmy the hippie" one day, Reality is more than enough to handle, drugs just make things fuzzy and hard to understand. (Yep, "so fifties of me," eh?)

Wow, Jefferson Airplane .... They sound trippy.

Who's the chick with the broomstick up her spine? Is she posing for a Civil War era photo?

A nicely made vid for the day, never seen that one. Love the beanbag fish hanging over the bass. and, of course, the colors...are...whoa, here comes the flashback...

So, how's Warehouse 13 Chuck? Been tempted, but haven't caught an ep yet.

'Surrealistic Pillow' is "straight" enough an album to handle without inhaling. It's 'After Bathing At Baxters' that you need to avoid. :-0

I onyl really know the Airplane that you hear on the radio, and while I like what I hear, I've never attempted to listen to any of the non-radio tunes.  Maybe I'll give it a go.

Scot, Warehouse 13 is pretty good.  It's an interesting story line, and the character writing is solid.  If you like other Sci-fi shows (Syfy?) like Eureka and Stargate, then I would hazard a guess that you would enjoy Warehouse 13, although it is not quite as good as those other shows.  It has potential, though.

Would you take a look at those man rings?  Awesome.  Song would induce a bad trip, me thinks.

I caught a little of Warehouse 13 the other night.  It was the pilot, kept me interested, for sure!
