Most influential band ever?

Posted over 3 years ago
more youtube goodness, from the monterey pop festival ('67?), Buffalo Springfiled, with David Crosby subbing for Neil Young.Almost like an early version of CSN, with Ritchie Furay instead of Graham Nash. Is this the most influential band ever? If you think about all the subsequent projects these guys spawned, they're like the 49ers coaching staff under Bill Walsh, with Mike Holgren, Dennis Green, Andy Petite, all of whom became head coaches in their own right. The Springfield begat CSN, Poco, Loggins and Messina, Mannass, The Souther, Hillman, Furay Band, The Desert Rose Band, The Eagles...

This is a collaboration with Sonya and Shuie (a UK based duo) and I must say I am blown away by what they did to my solo acoustic cover. They did a beautiful job on this!

I sent them my raw microphone recording and they upholstered it with their Buffalo magic as follows:

Sonya did the 'morse' electric dub on her Les Paul copy, the handclaps and the high harmony.

Shuie played the Fenderbass, lead guitar and sang low harmony. He also put an extra high harmony on the final chorus.

Thank You to my friends Sonya and Shuie! You guys are awesome! See more of thier great work at:
