Robert Earl Keen to headline Hardly Strictly Bluegrass 11

Posted 8 months ago

Robert Earl Keen and the band will be headlining the Rooster Stage on Saturday for the eighth consecutive year at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass 11.

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass is a three-day festival held the first weekend in October in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. The festival is free thanks to the kindness and generosity of venture capitalist (and banjo player) Warren Hellman.

Robert has said, and I'm paraphrasing here, that Hardly Strictly Bluegrass is his favorite show all year long. He doesn't know where else he'll be playing next year, but you can bet he'll be at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass in October.

This year's lineup also includes: Robert Plant and Band of Joy, John Prine, Del McCoury, Thurston Moore, Southern Culture on the Skids, Mekons, Bright Eyes, M Ward, The Felice Brothers, Kurt Vile, Chris Isaak, The Belle Brigade, Steve Earle, Gillian Welch, Ryan Bingham, Punch Brothers, Patty Griffin, Robyn Hitchcock, Kris Kristofferson, Merle Haggard, Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, Buckethead, Broken Social Scene, Hugh Laurie, Ricky Skaggs, Emmylou Harris, Ralph Stanley, Blind Boys of Alabama, Bela Fleck, Mother Hips, Hott Buttered Rum, The Jayhawks, Justin Townes Earle, Elbow, Devotchka, Dr. John, The Low Anthem, Gomez, Fitz & the Tantrums, Bob Mould, Buddy Miller and many, many more.
