WE DO THE MASHED POTATO AND THE FUNKY CHICKEN

Raymond Scott Lullaby

Posted about 1 year ago
This is a wonderful trance track recorded in the 60`s.(yes the 1960`s) Think Kraftwerk for babies. I have been listening to this most of the day along with Lullatone`s Plays Pajama Pop Pour Vous .(They pull much from Raymond Scott.) Scott was know for music form early cartoons, conductor, composer, and electric music pioneer. If you are into Moog music, exotica, Brian Eno, Glass, 50`s sci-fi music, Fax recordings, or your having a baby as it was marketed to calm babies down, give it listen with the lights dim and enjoy the 14 min ride (yea I know its a bit long, but its so worth the trip.)

  2. GooGoomuc says No, I havent heard of Bruce Haack, but thanks to Google I am looking forward to hearing his music. Anything with robot in the title can be bad.Giant Robot here in the bay area is one of my favorite shops. This track (lullaby) blows me away every time I listen to it.

  3. mollifire says oooh, you'll love him! i think he was a friend of Raymond Scott or a contemporary or some connection. He wrote zany electronic music on home made synths. Somehow he got this deal to create fun kid's music for a children's show on tv in Canada. Hush Little Robot is that soundtrack. very fun stuff! Haack also recorded a God/Satan series of which Electric Lucifer is excellent! This is one of my fave tunes on that album:
