Last year when I picked up The Arcade Fire's Neon Bible, I was having one of those frustrating moments when I could not figure out what song "Keep the Car Running" was ripping off. Well, I FINALLY figured this one out! And I wasn't the only one. (Check out Shawn McNulty's blog: http://songsalike.com/similar-songs/arcade-fire-vs-eddie-and-the-cruisers-or-keep-the-car-running-on-the-darkside/)
I was at the gym and heard John Cafferty's "On the Darkside" and said aloud to myself "THAT's THAT DAMNED SONG!" The link above has a nice little clip for you to compare for yourself if you wish. "Songs Alike" is an entertaining blog and helpful if you need an "ah-HA" moment.

Agree Agree. It is very similar, but I still like Arcade Fire regardless. Thanks for answering that question..where have I kinda heard this.
I love Arcade Fire. Sorry, because of your post I just realized I was coming across a little negative. I was just frustrated with myself for having one of those "tip of my tongue.." moments. "On The Darkside" was a song from a fictional band in a film who was trying to come off as a Springsteen-esque character. Since obviously Arcade Fire are fans of The Boss, it makes sense that both are similar as they are borrowing from the same musical legend, right?
It seems like a looooong time since I've seen your screen name hereabouts in Dodge. Welcome back.
