Fans of Starr, eager to get his autograph better get their mail postmarked before October 20. The former Beatle said that after that date he will not respond to anymore fanmail.
"I have too much to do," Starr said.
He sounds pretty fed-up.

I actually met the allegedly dead Sir Paul when he was visiting Yale this year accepting his honarary degree in music. He was having dinner that night at the New Haven British Art Museum with Tony Blair, and when he walked out of the building to his taxi with a strikingly gorgeous young woman (looking to be about 25) at his side, he was kind enough to sign autographs and to shake hands with many of the folks nearby. I have to say though that when I shook his hand, his face did look incredibly plasticky... hmmm.... Maybe it's all true... maybe it was just a mask. Maybe he's being impersonated by a younger man, someone who would be a bit more fitting to the woman at his side. Maybe Ringo really is the only one left....
well in any case, I don't blame him for not wanting to deal with any more mail. I'm impressed that he could keep up with it for so long.
