No Room for "Jackie Big Tits" at Olympics

Posted about 1 year ago

What does the Kooks' song, "Jackie Big Tits," have anything to do with the Olympics?

Well, it was the name of the boat British sailing duo, Ben Rhodes and Stevie Morrison, planned on using during the Olympic games. Rhodes and Morrison christened their boat, "Jackie Big Tits," because they were inspired by the song and usually name their boats after musical inspirations. However, Olympic officials said the name was inappropriate and told them they would not be allowed to compete unless they changed the name.

Rhodes and Morrison decided to change it to "Little Miss Pipedream," a song by the Wombats.

That has to be one of the most interesting side stories I have heard from the olympics yet. I would have paid to hear an television broadcaster introduce the two as Jackie Big Tits, things like that would make the ratings soar!

That is hysterical.  Why didn't Bob Costas mention that in his Olympic coverage?

it's too bad though.  it's well known to be bad luck to change the name of a boat.  even when necessary, it's a difficult process that requires the old name be obliterated from the boat before the new name can be christened...
