Quincy Jones says No, No, No to Amy Winehouse on Tribute Album

Amy, Amy, Amy what are you doing to yourself??? Quincy Jones asks you to sing on his upcoming tribute album and you blow it? It's QUINCY JONES.

The mega music producer wanted Winehouse to cover "You Don't Own Me" originally sung in 1964 by Leslie Gore (most recognized for "it's My Party"). Winehouse started working on the track with Mark Ronson about a year ago but never returned to the studio to complete it. After not hearing any progress, Jones booted her off the project.

Ronson kept trying to get her back into the studio but Winehouse never came. "The track isn't finished and she's not around," Ronson said. "If she's not here then, unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about it."

To top it all off, Jones reportedly would have asked her to perform with the King of Pop at the concert commemorating the release of the album.

Apparently, what little Winehouse had recorded on the track sounded pretty good. Too bad no one will hear it.
