Well, it is on my "Things to do List" right up there with Cutting Grass and finish painting the front porch, and getting decorations down, and grocery store.... but I digress.
Halloween, my favorite season, my wife's favorite holiday, every kids favorite night. Hey, you got to stay up late, play make believe, get free candy, and then take it to school the next day to trade!
Eventually you grow up, and it is no longer "cool" to dress up, that is until you reach your 20's, then you rediscover Halloween, except this time, in lieu of candy there is DRINK! But alas, you eventually grow past that too, that is until you have children of your own, and see the magic it brings to their eyes when "Mommy and Daddy want to play pretend!".
I am desperately trying to get my wife to go as a french maid, but she is probably going to opt for something more conservative being we are visiting the neighbors houses. For me, I am considering Adam Ant!, most will see it as some strange 1700's meets Native Indian Bi-Sexual thing and not recall the Strangeness that was Adam Ant .... for me, ill just be humming Stand and Deliver..... now where can I find all the stuff I need to make this work today.......

Ha! Great costume idea. I'm going as a raccoon this year!
The rule at our house is you can eat as much candy as you like on that night...yep, it's a favorite 'round these parts too.
BTW...I trusted you partly because of your avatar...it made me giggle.
