Pleased to see the out-of-print vinyl tracks from Sic Alps compiled on CD with "A Long Way Round To A Shortcut" out this week on Animal Disguise. Misters Donovan and Hartman have miles of collective indie rock cred to spare in projects like Mesh, Nam, Henry's Dress, Yikes, Coachwhips, Ropers, and Total Shutdown. They were supposed to be on a US tour right now, but Hartman broke his wrist in a bike accident. They should be up and running again soon though.
Particularly into this video's choppy editing style and scrappy graphics. Enjoy

Sound artist/turntablist (in the broadest sense of the word) is known for video compositions but this is the first art show I have heard of from him.

"Since the early 1980s, Christian Marclay has explored the visualization of sound and music through his sculpture, photography and mixed media-based works. As a visual artist who also works as a musician (Marclay pioneered the use of a turntable as a musical instrument in the late 1970s), the relationship between the audible and the visual and the incongruencies existing between the two remain the driving force of his work.
The approximately twenty-five works included in Stereo span the artists's entire career."
