i figured he must have SoMething. what famous musician isnt driving around with illicit substances in their car. i just figured it be a huge stash of weed.... i never really thought about phish on heroine. but i havent heard them recently either.

Yeah, I heard that on the radio while driving in VT (his home state, I believe). Can't say I'm surprised.

Yeah, it's not surprising at all. Everyone pretty much knew. I just think it's sad how he lost it. He admitted to staying up on crack for days at a time in a recent Rolling Stone and now this. I guess if I was a rock star I'd be doing the same thing, but his music really suffered in my opinion.

So true. And it's scary to think that people drive while under the influence of anything. I mean, I'm not saying it's okay or not okay to use drugs, but to drive?? That's just stupid.

I got to know Trey pretty well last summer when I was touring with Phil Lesh and Friends. He and I actually got a great musical dialog going on most nights. He's got good ears and answered my phrases in a really cool fashion. The crowds seemed to dig it too. All this to say that I didn't detect any erratic behavior from him at all. Just a great guy and pure music being played.
