all time favorite moment in jazz

Posted about 5 years ago
Okay! I don't listen to much jazz. I just don't. Hey, whatever. BUT! This song is so good! I could listen to all the jazz in the world and this would still top the top of the tops. It all happens at 2:09. Everything changes!I'm getting too excited.

  1. Anonymous says Beautiful jazz piece. of course personally the highlight was the piano playing for me. What a melody this song has, but especially enjoyed how this is a song that was recorded live, the whispered background chattering and what sounds like the faint note coming from a flute makes this very inviting and simply makes you want to shake your head & snap your fingers. jazzy! btw, coming from someone who has little taste in this genre. great post!

  5. ookpik says totally, mktackabery. ahmad jamal is so laid back. this song makes me want to host people, so i can use this to set the mood.

  6. fistula spume says Ah. That was refreshing. I'm not a jazz enthusiast but I like what I do when I hear it when I like it and I liked what I heard. Never heard of Ahmad Jamal before. Thanks for posting.
