On The Mend

Greetings Crew! Wassup Lemonheads. Wassup Special Saussiers (that's chef of sauce in French). I am now 8 days out from surgery and feeling good. I had the opportunity to see one of the best and most renowned Laryngologists in the world yesterday, Philadelphia's own, Dr. Sataloff.

The kind Doctor scoped me and took me off of voice rest. Kind of. What does that mean? That means that every hour I can speak 5 to 10 mins in short 1 to 2 minute segments. This sounds kind of hard to keep track of. Honestly, it is a bit hard to keep track of, but I'm getting the gist of it. The long and short of it is that I should be singing within a month and ready for the stage by mid January. As you all know I'm off the road right now until mid February when we start our winter and spring tours so get ready. I know I'm gonna be ready to tear sh!t up! This is definitely the longest amount of time I've gone without a gig since I started gigging. Wierdness…

Anyways, its pouring rain in NYC and I'm gonna be jamming some blues shortly. I've been learning a lot of great songs straight off of Youtube. Computerized blues...My the times are a changin'...John Hurt's version of "Creole Belle", Big Bill Broonzy's "Hey Hey", and Bukka White's "Jelly Roll Blues" to name a few.

Have a great day and keep your head up in these troubled times!

P.S.

Its not even Thanksgiving yet but it seems like its never too early to start thinking about Christmas. And when you're thinking about Christmas I know you'll start humming all those old carols.

Well, we've got some new carols for you on the new Brushfire records Christmas record. Make sure you pick one up for the perfect stocking stuffer. 25% goes to charity so you'll be supporting a good cause. You can also check it out at

My tune is called "Christmas Baby". I hope you like it!
