So sometimes youre gonna hafta walk somewhere late at night. Youre goin out for smokes or some brews, or you gotta treck to the mr/mrs, or youre just trying to get some fresh air. When I leave the house I always feel the overwhelming urge to take some tuneage (classy trax) with me. When im out late at night I wanna hear some of that spooky stuff just to get with the atmosphere etc. So heres a list of some tracks that are good when youre walking down some deserted street after hours....DJ Gruff- 1v2 : Great song (italian battle track btw) with a really dark beat and some poignant guitar parts. Still trying to find the instrumental of this..Non Phixion- Strange Universe : Really weird sci-fi beat. Theres some strings in the mix which make it really tense. Quality lyrics as per usual from these guysMDC- Trail of Dead : Never been able to find out what release this was from. A great emotional tune that doesnt get overindulgent ( emo style). Its one of the few songs longer than five minutes that I'll bother listening to. Everything fits...Frank Black and the Catholics- Dog in the Sand : Nice and slow, haunting vocals, a bit of organ. An allround successLink Wray- Viva Zapata : Edgy surf instrumental which scores bonus points for the Zapata reference!The main theme from the Bruce Lee movie "Big Boss" : I heard the horns part sampled in a hip hop tune a while back and realized that this is possibly my favorite song ever.Blackalicious & Souls of Mischief- Bombing: This is what I used to listen to when going out tagging. Gets you hyped for some paint applicationGente Guasta ft. Rome Zoo- I solidi sospetti : Reminds me of living in Rome and going out on the scooter whilst smoking. Hard not to get ash in your eyes that wayShitlickers- The night of the Holocaust : Probably the most brutal piece of music ever recorded. Super distorted crust/thrash with awesome howling vocals. This has yet to be toppedEnnio Morricone- Imminent Trouble : Makes you feel like an outlaw. Seriously, you start walking all weird and get yer hands ready to grab the pistolBattle of Disarm- Vivisection : The live version of this song is unbelievable. More distorted thrash, but this time from Japan. The pace is ridiculous, I dont know how they keep it up Add liberally some folk, blues, jazz fusion or d-beat. And there you have it, the soundtrack to walk around in the dark to. (thats one of my photos on the top btw)
