I'd heard so much about Sigur Ros live before I got to see them myself, so to say I was excited before this show would be something of an understatement. So did they justify the hype? Oh, absolutey. The sound was unbelievable at times, and in a venue as ordinary as the Hordern Pavilion, getting the big, rich and well-mixed sound for which Sigur Ros is so wel known would be a challenge for the bes...

I know it's going against the grain somewhat to expect MOGgers to "buy music", but hey, I'm a struggling band member, so I have to do what I can.If you haven't heard (which is likely), my band Fuzu is launching its debut EP next week. If you're not in Sydney and you can't make it to pick up a copy, have a think about buying it on iTunes. And of course, let me know what you think. I put a track u...

I love the GTA series of video games, not just for the fun that can be had eating burgers for a dollar and running over annoying old ladies in a flash car, but for THE MUSIC, man!!! Oh yeh. The past two games have set a high standard on a myriad of fictitious radio stations. My favourite from Liberty City is this, Marakesh's Jdat, as heard on Vladisvostok FM.Enjoy!!

It's called Twenty One-One Zero, I think. The track is called Piste according to the file name on the download I got.The early part of the track is like a movie soundtrack, but it moves from there into a ...

My band, Fuzu is set to release a debut EP, and I'm so excited about it, I thought I'd tell the MOG-o-sphere.Titled Between Your Lines, it's a five-track CD, recorded in Sydney, Australia, and produced by the wonderful Genevieve Maynard.I'd be really keen to see what anyone thinks of the songs on our MySpace page, so feel free to post feedback here. We're launching on June 25, so please think ab...

Sigur Ros last year made a movie - its first - about home, which for them is Iceland. It's called Heima. What's exciting is that the entire movie has been posted to YouTube - officially, I believe - for our viewing pleasure.I haven't had a chance to look at it yet, but it's said to be very inspirational and beautiful, much like the band's unique music.I'm so excited to see it. I hope you are, too.

Of course, when I say "rest in peace", I mean rest with a little rock and roll playing in the background, Jeff.I was saddened to hear today that Jeff Healey died after a battle with cancer. He was just 41.As I kid, I remember being mesmerised by Healey and being completely stunned at how he played, guitar on lap, with no eyesight. Of course, blind musicians are nothing new - Stevie Wonder and R...
