Charlotte drags me away

I've just discovered the delights of Charlotte Martin's voice, thanks to my MOG buddy k8girl - thanks sista - and found her cover of the Rolling Stones' Wild Horses. All I can say is "wow".As I explained to k8 recently, this song has a special place in my heart because it is the first thing I learned to play on guitar - thanks Dad :) ... but this cover has slayed me. It's amazing.There are not often covers I listen to and think, "Whoa, that's good". Another favourite is a version of Michael Jackson's The Way You Make Me Feel, which Naomi Roper nailed. She's a random artist form Scotland I found on MySpace. Ike and Tina Turner's Funkier Than A Mosquito's Tweeter has been covered well twice - by Nina Simone and Nikka Costa - but Charlotte's is my new favourite cover.There are a million others, but any others out there I should know about? And a slap in the face for the first person that says Smooth Criminal. Haha - just kidding. Alien Ant Farm's rip of that does, at least, have a wicked drum part.Foraggio
