STOP THE FADEOUT

I've been listeng to OneRepublic's record Dreaming Out Loud and quite enjoying some of the tracks on there.One of the best is All We Are, which has everything a good all-American power ballad should have - except a decent ending.Which brings me to the "fadeout". It's not often bands use the fadeout these days. I remember in the 80s particularly you used to hear them a lot, and bands would only come up with proper endings when playing live, which was always quite exciting as a punter.But bands appear to cottoned-on to the naff qualities of the fadeout - that fact it makes your song sound aimless and produced for a radio audience, rather than the one that sees you live, buys the record and pays the bills.So, I hereby begin the petition - STOP THE FADEOUT.Leave a comment here if you agree, and we'll take on the world ;-)
