  4. HelenMarie says It must be nice if all he ever does is play in the sheets! : ( LOVE the trippy, classic video too! And that ambient music. The only thing that bothers me is the digital tweeking on the vocals. It really distracts me from enjoying some hip hop tunes lately. I thought the other parts sound great without, why do they have to do that...?

  6. Marigold says That is Snoop Dogg? I can actually say I like this. It pains me to say that. It fits the FF theme as well. Great choice Colin.

  10. HelenMarie says Are we allowed to say vocals, music and lyrics when talking about hip hop? I suppose I should say rhymes and beats...huh?

  11. FluxCapacitor says @ H - And then they "smoke us a cigarette and go back to sleep". It's well for some! Yeah, the vocoder thingy can easily slide you into Cher territory, but I think it adds to the fun in this case, sort of enhancing the cheesy or "quality trash" ((c) Danny) vibe. @ Mike - Thanks, we'll turn you into a wigga, yet! Haven't heard the rest of the record but I doubt if Geffen will let him change up his style for the whole LP. (If only.) He said that Geffen didn't even want him to release _this_ song - the fools! @ Danny - I did the exact same. It's even funnier than his Wikipedia entry. @ Anna - Keats or Byron? I can't tell which. @ Ilay - I totally tuned out of Snoop's solo work for wow, must be 15 years now. The last song I adored that he guested on was Dre's "Still Dre". But he certainly has his legendary moments. To whit...

  17. Mike the Knife says So when did he turn into Sing Dogg? Gotta say that the vid spanked me. High-larious, and love the "Soul Train," '70s, Prince and George Clinton nods. Still, I preferred when he referred to himself as Snoop Doggy Dogg. It always made me think of a certain funky, pimptastic beagle and his round-headed whipping boy.
