Audioslave

Posted over 2 years ago
Yup! probably the best Male voice in our time, powerful powerful voice indeed. Although sometimes I get the impression the singing hurts his vocal chords. My FAVORITE Audioslave song!!! Another album I ran out to get after hearing on the station. Er.. that means I was 13 when I got this album & none of my teeny poppy friends were into them. LOL :DThey give a fantastic show too!!!!Like A Stone

  3. bloodtea says I remember that album being very popular for months after his release (gee.. _cochise_ and _show me how to live_ became really annoying, at the time). I do agree Chris Cornell has a great voice :)

  4. Hermes says Is this the same singer as in Soundgarden? I love Soundgarten. Spoonman is such a killertrack ... ahhh. I worked during the sommer vacations in a quarry back in the time, still going to school when I listened a lot to Soundgarden and the like. I felt like some kind of outlaw in the evening in my dirty clothes, seeing all the clean people in the other cars. It was summer, it was beautiful. Great time. These are nice songs too, especially the first one. Never heart of Audioslave, rare. I think I should have. Thanks for the hint.

  7. deadflowers says Love love love their last record! I think it was the one where everyone came together on the same page soundwise. It's a pity that they broke up immediately after. On that note, Chris Cornell's solo tour is FANTASTIC! You should totally go see them and get his new record. It's excellent, IMO. He's finally rockin' again!

  9. Blue Meenie says Cornell has THE rawk voice of today. Reminiscent of early Burton Cummings or John Fogerty, his work with Soundgarden and Audioslave are top notch. Personal fav is Outshined....so much POWER !!!!

  10. Rawkkiddoh says I never got a full appreciation for this band until I saw them live. While I loved the cd, once I saw them in concert the deal was shut for me.

  12. Jammy Jeff says I loved Soundgarden, and I liked Audioslave's first album, but I honestly felt their output got steadily worse. I haven't heard any of Cornell's new solo stuff, but I know I'll probably end up buying it. I remember being blown away by the "Cochise" video, and the story of all the emergency services and Police being called out because they thought there was a terrorist attack going on during the making of the promo.

  15. KomradeJack says Funny thing about this song is they tune UP 2 1/2 steps. Most bands tune down 2 1/2 steps in order to make it seem like the vocalist is singing all these high notes.

  18. James12 says Audioslave has been one of my favorite bands for quite a while now. Chris Cornell vocals are freaking awesome, it's a shame that the band broke up, but their work will live, and Soundgarden is freaking awesome, my favorite song has to be "The Day I tried to Live" and in Audioslave, "# 1 Zero", that one is awesome, anyway, good post, sorry I'm a bit late, but I've been swamped lately. Peace. James.
