Artists You Should Know About

In Santa Fe, New Mexico we have a pretty great scene. Lots of artists and lots of shows. Around 200 shows a year? We have a tiny population in terms of cities but the scene is really fun and pretty easy to jump into. Sadly, we are losing our main venue which stops touring bands from coming through and cripples the local bands. Last night was its last show and it would be cool if you all would tell me about your scenes. I'd really like to hear about them so yeah... What are your scenes like?

i love the music scene that i participate in! we are spread out over the bay area (san francisco, oakland, berkeley, etc.), we do around 3 shows per month for free at 3 different bars, we do about 2 or 3 shows per month that cost $ but usually only $3-5. we also do as many outdoor parties as possible. its mostly electronic music - techno, jungle, hip hop, dub, breakbeat, experimental, noise, everything! we also educate ourselves and others about alternative fuel and energy so that we can have more control over our impact on the earth. i could go on forever about how much i love my homies, and how i'm constantly inspired by them, but instead just go look here : http://www.mutantfest.org
