Ok, so I know I'm a tad late on posting this but I just wanna know what people think about the whole Ashlee Simpson/Robert Smith collaboration. Do you care? Not sure that I do....in my opinion The Cure have sucked for over a decade. Their old tunes will always be near & dear to my heart, but I haven't been interested in them for a loooooong time. Is this whole thing surprising to anyone? It's not entirely surprising to me. Strange things are afloat in the music world....

Here's one of the many articles in case you live under a rock and have no idea what I'm talking about:

Got 2 tickets this morning to see The Police @ Dodger Stadium in June...really, I'm very happy. (despite paying an arm and a leg--almost literally) I've always been a huge fan of them but was just a child when they were still playing. Honestly, I never thought they'd get back together...does a jig...Happy early 30th bday to me!

Man, I've said it before and I'll say it again. They are charging too much for thoes tickets. Sure, Sting was in Dune, but com'on.

Let me take you back...

I started thinking about my very first album yesterday, which was Lady and the Tramp on vinyl. It was probably '80 or '81 and I was TOO excited to play it on my Fisher Price record player...you know the one...crazy plastic brown & orange...oh yeah. Records for kids were awesome back then (come to think of it, toys were awesome back then..wha happened?) cuz the record itself was essentially a picture from the movie. (not the typical black vinyl) I remember being highly impressed with this. (I was 4) But my distinct memory is playing the song "We are Siamese" over and over and over and over....my mother probably wanted to shoot me. I only wish I had held on to all of my records. Poop on me.

Anyway, there's no real point to this entry. Just a moment of nostalgia.

I had a fisher price record player too....Plastic turquoise....My mom got it for me at a yard sale along with some records.....I used to listen to this one song over and over again......I couldnt remember who it was, until a couple years ago when I heard captin and tennille on the radio and was like "omg thats the song!"

PS...I hated those mean cats.
