Just got the new Drive-By Truckers album, and as to be expected it is FANTASTIC. Much better than their last album (which was alright in my book).
Cooley must have sold his soul to the devil, because his songs are over the top good.

Just finished up my long weekend with Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit.
They put on 3 fantastic shows. Denver was above and beyond the best of the 3 (and the other 2 were pretty damn good).
Make sure you go see these guys if they come to your town (they will be touring this winter). They are really coming together.

Went to my second Jason Isbell solo show Thursday night. He, and his band, opened for Cracker.
Jason played for about an hour, and put on an even better set than the first time I saw him back in August.
Naturally he broke out a few of his songs from his days in the Drive-By Truckers.
