PAN FOR GOLD. WE'VE GOT ORE GALORE.

Desmond Dekker - 007-Shanty Town

As an old black man from the south, I appreciate being able to look around Netsville for all kinds of songs. One that I found, recently, has caught my attention. It reminds me of what the south was like in them early, rugged years. It also makes me think about all of those greedy fools and coporate monsters of today, who have train wrecked the economy.

My friend Bobby, hipped me to the reggae sounds of Jamaica. They had to walk through their own fire and just like America came out with some very meaningful songs. Every culture has their own music, really. And the message can be mutual across the globe. Aint nothin' like a spoon full of sugar to help the medicine go down.
