30 seconds clips from the new album

I know, I really hate even mentioning the word walmart, but on their online store you can preview every song from the new album, 30 seconds clips. I will be a temporary resident of vancouver in less then a week and I was wondering if anyone out there in the mog world that lives in vancouver could give me some advice on music shops and places to go, or where to catch some good local bands, i will be living there for about 2 years or so.
