About Dr. Dog:
Dr. Dog is a indie rock/pop band from Philadelphia. They were founded in 1999, when still playing under a different alias. Their sound is often compared to various sixties bands like the Beatles and the Band, only more psychedelic. Critics call Dr.Dog's sound psychedelic indie pop.
When they changed their band name to Dr. Dog, they were often mistaken for a hip-hop group. That all changed when the band toured with My Morning Jacket in 2004. Shortly after, the music press noticed them and praised the group's debut album 'Easy Beat'. In 2005 they were signed to Park the Van Records and finished their cross-country tour.
Early 2006 they toured through Europe as well when supporting the likes of Raconteurs, the Black Keys and the Strokes on their tours. Later that year, Dr.Dog's EP 'Takers and Leavers' was released, in advance of their 2007 album 'We All Belong'.
In the spring of 2008 the indie band released 'Fate', which was met to much critical acclaim. Later that year the Americans went on a small headlining tour throughout Europe.
