So, I'm with the Commitments on the "jazz is musical wanking off" theory. Still, I do like this Cibelle song. But that's it. That's as close as I'll go. And for anyone who wants to do the "jazz is an american art-form shtick" -- I prefer blues any day of the week, and particularly hate acid jazz. Okay, I also admit I have the Les Nubiens version of "smooth operator", but we already know the French do plenty of stuff that no one else can pull off. Like clam-diggers and stylish infidelity.
