It's been nearly a year since I embarked on an impossible dream. For those new to this mission of sorts, it's simple. I'm trying to listen to every album in my library, starting with the physical CDs...that are in my CD books (AKA - the stuff I don't frequent has much anymore). Some of it is painful. Some is a welcomed trip back down memory lane. Other times, the songs are so familiar it hurts

It's been way too long since I last posted. For all you New Yorkers (and some who like new tunes), here's a playlist for this year's annual Village Voice Sirenfest. Free. Coney Island. Dead heat of summer. Lots of people. Nathan's Hotdogs. The Cyclone (one of the oldest running rollercoasters out there). Get that Arrested Develop...

This is the first time I've ever gone out on a limb for a band I knew so little about, but hey, it's based only on Amber's advice to check out Band of Skulls. Prior to 5 seconds ago, I had only heard the song "Friends", but today, I now have 11 songs (mp3 style) from the album Baby Darling Doll Face Honey which I got for under $3 on Amazon (usually only a 24 hour or so window deal).Glad I did...

So, it all started w/ a simple post by Music Geek Chic, It snowballed into a plea for random, everyday words. The response was whelming (I won't say over. It's never over). TynansAnger began with suggesting "milkshake" (based on a very familar clip from I suppose a film that's been seen round the globe). Dale continued w/ "shove." Scotfree is apparently a procrastinator w/ the present tense sug

Partially inspired by a Dr. Suess inspired Post by Music Geek Chic, I decided to create a playlist featuring 15 random sort-of everyday words. I'll do the rest. Just lay down your word in the comments. Any word will do.TYVM
