I'm a big fan of the TV show, Lost. I know a lot of people are. Some aren't. That's OK.
An extremely memorable scene for me was when Desmond was found in the hatch in season 2. He popped on an LP featuring the song - "Make Your Own Kind of Music." It's an extremely appropriate song for a guy who was trapped, isolated for a number of years inside a hatch with no human contact.
I found a website site Fan-Dog.com that listed a number of songs featured on the show through the years. Most of the songs are now compiled these songs into a Lost playlist. A lot of the memorable songs from various scenes are on here. The Music Coordinator for Lost is obviously a fan of Patsy Cline and other more classic artists - Otis Redding, Glen Miller, Three Dog Night. A lot of the stuff is just plain perfect even if some of it is expected or cliche. Not much is cliche.
The music from Lost gives us a sense of the feelings and relationships sewn together throughout the series between the characters. Relive the key musical moments including Hurley singing to Claire's baby (w/ James Brown in the background), the memorable ending to season 1, episode 17 where Damien Rice's haunting voice leaves us wanting more, Sawyer sailing off on a raft to "Redemption Song", and Jack, bruised and broken rocking out to Nirvana.
As some of us finish, eyes glued to the final season, you'll see the music choice is critical to many scenes and while diverse many of these songs will ring with me just the same, like one 45 song soundtrack, long after the final episode.
Hope you enjoy the Ultimate Lost Farewell playlist. Maybe there's a cut or two that you'll remember from the past 6 seasons.

I was here. I've never watched the show
My wife and I are big Lost fans (took me years to convince her to watch, but now, she's hooked). The series has been amazing and this will be a fun playlist to help relive many moments.
Many familiar moments for sure. Here's to hoping there are more fans out there interested in checking this out.
Yes, I am also a big Lost fan. A memorable moment for me was when Hurley pigged out to the Dharma rations with The Uniques' My Conversation playing.
Oh yeah. When that song played on the playlist, I said to myself "this song is very familiar!"
Very memorable scene btw...
