I have to admit that I have been slow to come by new music since last summer, but my friend slipped his _Summer Jams 2007_ mix into my car's CD player a month or so ago and I've been, um...jammin' to it ever since. The mix opens with this catchy song by Orange Juice that totally encapsulates the mood I'd like to have all the time. It is one of those songs that belongs on the mix and is just right for listening to while I'm driving. Its been a long time since I've felt that giddy tingle when a song is 'just right' on a mix, but every time I hear it, I feel something...

I did this a couple of months ago after being inspired by this mog post (link)

I have about 7 or 8 (including _Electric Six_, _The Smittens_, _Junior Senior_, _Zombi_ and some others). A bunch of them have notes on the back, too. I llike them a lot... maybe even better than when I wore them as shirts. At the time, I didn't want to be committed to never being able to wear them again, so I used a load of safety pins.

Sam Chintha (ex-Alcian Blue) and I have been talking about collaborating on more projects since I edited a 40 minute video for Alcian Blue's live shows a couple of years ago. We wanted to get _something_ up online, but nearly an hour of psychedelic bug/undersea footage without a soundtrack isn't exactly youtube-friendly. Sam sent me this new track he made over the weekend and I chopped the video to 4.5 minutes. Enjoy.
