It's been about a year since I last posted, which is a shame. I spent the summer working 14-24 hour days at a special needs summer camp, then headed off to Europe to spend the semester in northern Italy. So mogging took a backseat for a while. But I'm back!I went to one day of the Pitchfork Music Festival in July, which rocked my world. Highlights included The Twilight Sad, Voxtrot, Iron and Wine, and Cat Power. The best moment of the show happened during Cat Power's set, when I suddenly realized that Kevin Barnes was standing about 15 feet away from me playing with his daughter. Amazing.I also caught The Decemberists in Munich this September, and they rocked hard. Here's some pictures I snagged. I was right up against the stage.The opening band was Land of Talk, hailing from Canada, a band I hadn't heard about before. They put on a great set, and I promptly bought their album. I snagged a shot of lead singer Elizabeth Powell in action, and another of me with a member of the band. I think the drummer? German beer made the details a bit fuzzy.I'll be posting soon about faves of the year and such. Good to be back!
