Best of 2008
A bit late, but now that 2008 is through I'm feelin reflective. Yes, im probably too biased by NPR but here we go...
1. Beck, "Modern Guilt"
2. Dr. Dog, "Fate"
3. Bob Dylan, "Tell Tale Signs"
4. Seun Kuti, "Many Things"
5. Blitzen Trapper, "Furr"
6. Hot Chip, "Made in the Dark"
7. Thao, "We Brave Bee Stings and All"
8. Vampire Weekend, "Vampire Weekend"
9. MGMT, "Oracular Spectacular"
10. Jenny Lewis, "Acid Tongue"
11. Q- Tip- The Renaissance
Yes, sorry Bob Boilen and crew, no Bon Iver. Well it deserves a notion of greatness, but I'm keeping it off to be rebelious too.
Honourable mentions:
-Sigur Rós - I love a few tracks on there, but haven't gotten into the whole album yet, which is strange since i'm a hardcore long time Sigur Rós fan.
-Neil Young - Sugar Mountain Live Disc, this is golden
-Portishead - I'm not super into this , but it got me into them which is good.
- TV on the Radio - This is pretty good, but not *amazing*
-Hercules and Love Affair - Good jams
- Goldfrapp - Seventh Tree... was this from this year? if so its GREAT!
Ok enough
