So on a whim Marisa and I got tickets to the Incubus concert at the Greek for Wednesday night (the night before, thank you craigslist!).

They were of course brilliant. Brandon sounds just as amazing if not BETTER on stage live than he does on albums. So besides the fact that they sounded incredible and were as gracious to their fans as they always are, I have several thoughts still ruminating in my mind:

1. Brandon.... you didn't take your shirt off!!! What the hell!!!

2. Set list was totally unexpected! I'll try to remember the best as I can:

3. Brandon, your shirt??!! Why was it still on??

Hi-light: Dig; the intimate experience provided at the Greek

Low-lights: were the noticeable omission of classics!!! Such as: Nice to Know You, Stellar, Warning (but they didn't play that at Arrowhead Pond 2004 either), Are You In, and Pardon Me. Baffling. I would have so appreciated and loved it if they had played Talk Shows on Mute. I would've even taken Are You In to replace like 3 of my lesser favorite songs. Also, placing one of their best songs (Wish You Were Here) so early into the lineup didnt have the most genius affect. It shoulda been LAST.

Encore: totally unexpected to hear Aqueous Transmission and even 11am!!! It was awesome though. Before they played AT Brandon says "we haven't played this one in a long time." So it was cool to be a part of that.

And now that I think of it, maybe that's why he didn't take his shirt off. It's less awkward to do that when you're playing huge stadium or pavillion venues haha.

But I get it. Their email announcing the show even said they wanted to tour around the US in smaller, more intimate venues to connect with their die-hard fans better and such. And in conclusion, there were a LOT of happy campers when the band chose to play the more obscure Incubus classics.

However, I can't deny I was left with some bittersweet feelings about not hearing my favoritessss that I hold so dear to my heart. :'(

And did i mention, brandon did not take his shirt off???

But I love incubus with all my heart!!!! Awesome show, awesome times.

That's like exactly the shirt he had on! You know, the one he refused to take off!!!! >:0

last night my roommate was already asleep by 4am (early sleeper huh) so it was incredibly hard for me to stifle my laughter from watching THIS

oh god.. john mayer you never fail to make my day so much better.
