Egad, I must stop going away

Posted about 5 years ago
It was bad last time, but Wozniak, Jess and DA PIMP? How can this be? I demand an explanation. When flesh and blood friends are no longer around, one knows why, or at least can hazard a good guess, but this online thing is weird. Many of us have vanished for a while; Wozniak even killed "Swozniak." But when someone takes down their page, it feels like they have died or something. Not only is their absence disturbing, but also the lack of closure. WTF?

  1. brand X says There was a little discussion regarding jess and wozniak (and attrition in general) "here":http://mog.com/brand_X/blog_post/54701, if it is at all helpful. The whole pimp thing is pretty weird though. First I heard he was gone, then he came back saying he didn't want to be gone, now it seems he's gone again... crazy.

  2. El Monko and Son says Yeah, it gave a little closure, although Pimp's disappearance is adding creedence to the "who's killing the great chefs of europe" paradigm.

  3. etcvisitor says wow, with the change over in formats i thought it was just my schedule. i figured that for some reason i wasnt on at the times when they were posting and that i just hadnt stumbled over their posts in the READ section... which is way less cool than saying MOGOSPHERE!

  4. Anna says Pimp deleted his account officially today, due to personal issues. Same happened with Tim (Manos). (yes, I know I'm being vague)

  5. El Monko and Son says That sucks. Well, at least no one's dead.

  6. Rawkkiddoh says I think its like with everything, people come and go. I have also noticed a drop in the amount of people posting mogs as compared to a month or two ago. I am sure in time things will be picking up again, and your mail boxes will be flooded with posts. The one thing I have noticed the most is the front page of mog seems to be a place for only a few peoples mogs to be featured. I said this before, and was assured that it would change once the switch over occured. Its the same, and I have read posts from other moggers, and then saw the same articles with a different name attatched to them on the mog home page. I liked going to the home page and seeing all the different articles when mog started. It made it easy to find people who shared similar interests. Now, its a search through the read section to try and find what I am looking for

  7. El Monko and Son says Interesting point. One thing I do seem to like is that I can cross reference "recent" and "trusted" to stay up on my peeps, something that was getting really difficult before. I do hope Senor Hymano is made aware of your rather incisive grievances.

  8. Rawkkiddoh says I would not say they are grievances, just suggestions. I feel some people might get turned off when they dont see a lot of people coming to their mogs. Having a great post, and then getting it featured on the front page makes you want to come back for more.
