Well, I was lucky enough to catch Bob Schneider and his band at World Cafe Live last week - it is a not miss experience. He will be back there in July - you should all start lining up now. You didn't need to know a single song of his to have a great time awash in the energy he created.The second show was Stars of Track and Field (new band of the year in 2006 for me) putting on an amazingly heavy display opening for none other than Joseph Arthur and the Lonely Astronauts. It was their record release party at the TLA. I even got to meet Joseph on the way out. Damn is he tall. His band was rocking and he was great - friendly too - despite the terrible turnout he played for a good two hours. He's best described as Richard Ashcroft but with more sunlight in the clouds.
