As long as I am on the country-ish flavor I could not resist this one. Doc Watson is a master at his craft and I really look up to him as a guitar player. This song though, really does not showcase his playing. It is such a peculiar song to me. It sounds as if he should be singing about skipping through sun-drenched wheat fields. I mean it has such an upbeat feel to it, but listen to the lyrics. Dark as hell. I think that contrast makes it great.
