Isis, Apophis and Osiris - Listen in The Dead of Night - Part 5

Posted over 3 years ago

Zorn seemed a logical course following from the last selection ... especially this little macabre masterpiece.

I.A.O .... numerologically 666 ... is apparently based upon the occult personality Aleister Crowley and the films of Kenneth Anger.

I found it to be quite an experiential task to listen to the whole album ... try it ... at the very least get immersed in each song long enough to test your longevity.

the individual songs vary tremendously ... some are not for the faint of heart.

Excuse my ignorance, but this is the first I've heard of John Zorn.  Wow.

On Scotfree's recommendation, I'm going straight for Leviathan.
