WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Phil Anselmo's Band "Superjoint Tribute"

Posted over 2 years ago
Has anyone heard of this band? My son introduced me to this about a week ago and I can't get enough. I can't believe I found another source of great "Pantera-like" music. Anselmo vocals are incredible on this...it's like listening to Pantera once again. His vocal are screams of anger and throatty as ever. The beat is hard and bad-ass (even though there will never be a replacement for "Dimebag", RIP). This is what I've been looking for a long time. I especially enjoy the "A Lethal Dose of American Hatred" album. It's like listening to some of the older stuff before the band split. I know a reunion can never occur but, OMG, this is probably as close as it is ever going to come. Let me know what you other Pantera fans think...

  2. TylerDurden says Phil's band is called Superjoint Ritual....pretty cool...but nothing like having Dime on guitar and Vinnie Paul on drums.....Strug, when I think of pantera, I think of "Official Live: 101 Proof" if you love VULGAR DISPLAY, you'll love this live album....I tried to find a way to listen to pantera online other than MOG, but the stinking search engine brought me back here anyway......why won't anyone post 101 LIVE dangit???

  3. TylerDurden says Phil also has another project out there somewhere, I bought the CD, but it got ganked at a party.....it's called "DOWN".....but not as good as pantera or Superjoint, but worth a listen if you like Phil's vocals.
