Millencolin is a punk rock band from Sweden that sing not in Swedish, but English. Apparently there are a lot of bands in Europe who sing in English even though they cannot speak it fluently. It must have something to do with the music industry and its relation to the United States.
I first heard about Millencolin from the punk rock compulation Punk O Rama Volume 2. They contributed the song Bullion from the album Life On A Plate(which is a fantastic album). There are four members to the group: two guitars, bass, and drums. Nikola Sarcvic provides indistinguishable lead vocals. The vocals are what make this band. With so many punk rock bands out there they can tend to mush together and sound the same. Millencolin's vocals set them apart from the rest of the punk bands out there.
I got lucky and caught them at the Warped Tour in '97. They sound just like their cd live. There are a lot of punk bands out there that sound like shit live and good on their album, but I assure you Millencollin is not one of them.

Well alright then. Not to quibble..but to these earholes they're more Power-Pop than punk. I understand the dividing line can shift...its vague anyway, but...Power Pop. Which is not to denigrate them at all. the music is fine, I like it, its witty & happily skews a few conventions....Good post.
I agree with you. I was using punk rock as a broad term, but yes they have more of a pop sound.
Nice man, this song is classic! Funny that you got wind of them thru Punk-o-Rama too! I picked up #5 and their song No Cigar was on that, hooked ever since. They are great skaters too
