FM radio sucks… 99,9% of the time…

… except when - towards the time of day when you've had the radio on long enough to be seconds from plugging in the iPod to escape the soul-numbing, de-invidualizing. repetitive drone of the 12 tracks on "heavy rotation" crap. You've heard the same "news" formulated in so many ways. Today, when you turned the radio on, you heard the exact same song you heard yesterday at the exact same time. And then - I remember the exact moment - you hear something that first makes you pay attention in a brief and sadly, slightly pessimistic kinda way (because you're already used to hearing the vestiges of originality infallibly being smothered by Corporate Evil and Excessive Sound Engineering™) - until half a second later, the beat lands in your gut, so you all of sudden feel kinda hungry, just because it untangles you. Then, perfecting the moment, a female vocal so gentle and yet powerful in its full-bodied tonality makes you lunge at the radio to crank up the volume.I could go on. I bought the song about 3 weeks ago, and it still gives me goosebumps. The song is "Sweet Dogs" by TrolleSibenhaar. Their site: http://trollesiebenhaar.com/ has a Flash player thingie with the song in it, so you could and should go listen to it right now.
