I just got back from a week's vacation in Iowa City, IA. The trip there included a 10-hour detour but we made it to the wedding of my niece. During the ceremony, the worst thunderstorm/deluge of the week arrived. So the service was pretty unintelligible, even though of course we all knew the gist.

WOW! A 10 hour detour... yuck. I was in Wichita Ks on thursday for work and got caught in a most severe storm. I even got to see lightening smash a tree, and then it poured and poured for about 25 miles on the turnpike.

Yeah, flooding has got to suck big time. We had the floods of '93 around here and I've still never seen anything like it!
