MUSIC SIGNPOSTS ON THE WEB'S LONELY ROAD

(4)

that I purchased any music. The other day, I got a wild hair up my butt and hit a used cd store out in Topeka Kansas... I darn near struck gold in my bizarro little musical world that I inhabit. I picked up three winners and one stinker. My next three (including this one) will be covering said purchases, minus the stinker.

First off was a Stereolab compilation entitled Oscillons From The Anti-Sun. It contained 3 discs of music and one disc loaded with Dvd's, and stickers of the covers of all the EP's and such that the tracks were originally on, and I got it all for 13 bucks! How sweet is that?! Both the tracks that I have on here were originally from their Wow And Flutter EP. It's stuff I've not heard before and the vid is from the Emperor Tomato Ketchup release and the vid is The Sound Of Carpet.

Good Arrf and Bad Arrf (but in a good way).

Never listen to these guys before.

I love Stereolab. Especially their 90's stuff, I did a series of posts on them back a few months ago. I find it rather mesmerizing.

I still haven't purchased any Stereolab, but they've been on my list since I find out how much they were influenced by Neu!. Some stuff I've heard sounds very much in that vein, but other stuff like this is very different. I'm not sure what I think about this one yet.

Yeah Mike, Thanks, I thought so too.

Chuck and Chris... go with Mars Audiac Quintet or Emperor Tomato Ketchup. You can't go wrong with either one of those releases.
