WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Some Various Musical Influences

Posted over 2 years ago
So my noise don't really contain a beat usually. On certain occasions and depending on the source however, it may contain a hint of a beat here and there. This song from Scorn is super heavy on the beat.I was already into experimental music by the time I heard this, but MAN!, it just added fuel to the fire. And what's even more awesome is that the guy behind this, Mick Harris, was one of the former drummers for Napalm Death (and in my humble estimations ((that's him playing in the vid)) when they were at their most extreme). You can check out a track of his drumming on a post I did on Praxis a while back.In the meantime enjoy this slab of heaviness from Scorn!TURN UP THE BASS!

  1. Marigold says That is some kickin beat. I have the bass going and the walls are a shaking. I admit, I have not listened to every track you have posted as Stillwater, but do you have any tracks with a pronounced beat? I am curious to what some of your music would sound like with a beat. It may not even need to be as pronounced as the beat for this bass heavy track. ....just curious.

  2. Doomsayer2001 says There are a couple or two of tracks. There is some stuff on my first release, "Blood In The Water", that has a slow churning beat or a loud distorted beat, and the track Deadspeak has a beat behind it, but it distorts out near the end. Nothing really intentional however, it's all bled through from the source tracks.

  4. Doomsayer2001 says Yeah, he was their drummer back in the late 80's and early 90's. It was absolutely insane stuff to hear.
