Time and again you hear the statement "Hip Hop Is Dead",in my point of view its alive and kicking.With people like Common,Q-tip,Guru,Jazzy Jeff,Mos Def and so on, who are still doing hip hop that's worth a mature ear that statement does not carry weight.

New school hip hop is for the young at heart,don't get me wrong its art in its own sense,but no all forms of art is appealing to all.Some love RnB,Some like R kelly Better than Mr Kells,and some love there Jazz but no matter the case its all music and its a universal language.

Lil Wayne,Bun B etc are new school cats who are brilliant but i like classics,Run DMC,Gangstar,Daddy kane........

To sum it all up i think Hip Hop has taken a turn that most old cats don't like hence the term,Am an old school hip hop lover my self and don't really like recent stuff but i believe its still alive because of people who are still holding on to that real hip hop.So to people like me lets keep it alive, 1 love
